1. Organize wedding photos in Google Drive

Use a separate working folder for your selection. This is a suggested structure you create yourself, not folders that AlbumDrive automatically creates:

  1. Create the folders: use your wedding date and the moments you want to group. Review the working folder's sharing settings before adding photos.
  2. Copy your selection: copy the photos you want to organize into the corresponding folders. Leave the files and folders managed by AlbumDrive in place; work on separate copies.
  3. Review repeated shots: compare the image, capture time and file size before deciding which copy to keep. Similar names do not prove that two files are identical. This selection is manual, not an automatic AlbumDrive sorting or duplicate-removal feature.
  4. Prepare the highlights: copy your final selection into the Highlights folder and check that the files open before sharing it. Copies also use Drive storage; keep an independent backup of important originals.

AlbumDrive uploads the photo file your guest selects without recompressing it. Download the saved file from your Drive when you need it.

Free allows up to 30 photos. Paid plans offer higher photo capacity, subject to the plan limit and available storage in your Google Drive. Videos also use Drive storage. Check your event settings for its photo limit.

2. A shared Drive folder or a guest upload page?

A shared Drive folder can collect files too. Editors signed into Google can add, edit or remove files; choose permissions deliberately. Google Drive.

AlbumDrive offers a separate browser upload page: guests select photos without creating an account, and the host receives the uploaded files in Drive. This does not replace checking the permissions of any Drive links you share.

3. Offer wedding photo uploads with AlbumDrive

  1. Sign in as the host and create the wedding event.
  2. Connect your Google Drive account to save the uploaded files.
  3. Download the event QR and share it or the upload link with guests.
  4. Guests select their photos and upload from the browser without an account.

Short videos require Plus or Premium, host activation, and a maximum of 30 seconds and 100 MB. For some formats AlbumDrive saves the original and a compatible playback copy in Drive.

Files are saved in the Google Drive account connected by the host. AlbumDrive uses the permissions needed to upload and display them. Some event folders are shared with anyone who has their link; technical processing or caching may be used for playback. Review the privacy policy and event settings before sharing sensitive content.

4. Best Practices for Sharing the Final Gallery

Share the selected folder rather than the original upload folder. Choose its audience before sending the link:

  1. Choose access: use Restricted and add specific people if you want to limit the audience. Choose Anyone with the link only if you intend to allow access to anyone who receives or is forwarded that link.
  2. Use the Viewer role: do not give guests edit access to the final selection. Review the parent folder's permissions too, because access can be inherited.
  3. Test before sending: open the link with an account that has the intended guest permissions, then send it in your thank-you message. View-only access does not prevent recipients from saving or forwarding content they can access.

Who can see the wedding photos?

It depends on your gallery settings and the links you share. Premium offers guest PIN protection, Gallery Reveal and prior approval. Some Drive folders are accessible to anyone with their link, so check their permissions too; a protected AlbumDrive page does not make every Drive link private.
